INSIGHTUITION

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: September 2026

Welcome to Insightuition. Our aim is to provide high-quality, supportive and exam-focused tuition in a safe and

positive learning environment. These Terms & Conditions are designed to provide clarity for families while

ensuring that we can maintain consistent, high-quality tuition for all students.

By enrolling a student and purchasing tuition, parents or guardians agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Small Group Programme

Our standard small-group tuition programme is designed around consistency and regular learning. Students

normally attend two 1-hour lessons per week, with a maximum of 8 students per group.

Small-group tuition is charged at £15 per hour and fees are paid monthly in advance. The total monthly fee is

calculated according to the number of scheduled lessons taking place during that month. As the number of

teaching weeks may vary, monthly fees may also vary. Payment reserves the student's place within their group.

2. One-to-One Tuition

One-to-one tuition may also be available upon request, subject to tutor availability. Fees, lesson frequency and

scheduling arrangements will be communicated and agreed with the parent or guardian before booking and

payment. One-to-one tuition is separate from our standard small-group programme and no specific one-to-one

rate is guaranteed unless confirmed by Insightuition.

3. Monthly Payments & Enrolment

Tuition fees are payable monthly in advance. Our monthly model is designed to give families flexibility. Students

are not required to make a long-term commitment and families may choose not to continue tuition for a

future month.

Parents or guardians should notify Insightuition before the next month's payment becomes due if they wish to

discontinue tuition, allowing the student's place to be offered to another family. Where payment remains

outstanding, Insightuition may release the student's place after reasonable notice.

4. Changing Your Mind & Refunds

We understand that circumstances can change. Where tuition is purchased online, Insightuition will respect any

statutory cancellation rights that apply, including any applicable cooling-off period.

Where a parent or guardian requests that tuition begins during an applicable statutory cancellation period, any

subsequent cancellation and refund will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law. Where legally

permitted, tuition already provided may be deducted from any refund due.

Once a monthly tuition period has begun, a refund is not automatically provided simply because a student

chooses to stop attending the remaining lessons. However, genuine exceptional circumstances will always be

considered fairly.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

5. Missed Group Lessons

Payment for small-group tuition reserves the student's place within that group. If an individual student cannot

attend a group lesson, the class will continue for the other students. For this reason, individual missed group

lessons are normally non-refundable and cannot normally be deducted from the following month's fees.

Where appropriate, we will make reasonable efforts to provide relevant learning materials or work covered

during the missed session so that the student can keep up with their programme.

6. One-to-One Cancellations - 24-Hour Policy

If a student needs to cancel or reschedule a one-to-one lesson, we ask parents or guardians to provide at least

24 hours' notice.

Where at least 24 hours' notice is provided, we will normally offer an opportunity to reschedule the lesson or

provide an equivalent lesson credit, subject to tutor availability. Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the

lesson will normally be charged as scheduled because the tutor's time has already been reserved.

We recognise that genuine emergencies can occur and will consider exceptional circumstances individually and

reasonably.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that family life can sometimes involve unexpected and serious circumstances, including medical

emergencies, hospitalisation, bereavement or other significant events outside a family's reasonable control.

Our aim is not to penalise families experiencing genuine difficulties. Depending on the circumstances,

Insightuition may offer an alternative lesson, additional tuition time, rescheduling, a credit towards future tuition

or, where appropriate, a refund. Requests will be considered fairly on a case-by-case basis.

8. Lessons Cancelled by Insightuition

If Insightuition cancels a scheduled lesson, the student will not lose the value of the tuition they have paid

for.

Depending on the circumstances, Insightuition will provide an appropriate solution, which may include a

replacement lesson; an additional lesson or equivalent additional tuition time; a credit towards future tuition; or a

refund for the affected lesson.

Where possible, our preference will be to replace the learning time so that the student's progress is not

disrupted.

9. Late Arrival

Students are encouraged to join lessons on time. If a student arrives late, they may join the remainder of the

lesson, but the scheduled finishing time will normally remain unchanged.

If a lesson starts late due to Insightuition or the tutor, reasonable arrangements will be made to ensure that the

student does not lose tuition time they have paid for.

10. Internet Connection & Technical Requirements

As Insightuition tuition is delivered online, students are expected to have access to a suitable device, a reliable internet connection and any software or online platform reasonably required to participate in lessons.

Parents or guardians are encouraged to ensure, as far as reasonably possible, that the student’s device, internet connection, camera, microphone and audio are working before the lesson begins.

Where a student is unable to join or fully participate in a lesson because of problems with their own internet connection, device or equipment, the lesson will normally continue as scheduled and will not normally be eligible for a refund or credit. Where appropriate, we will make reasonable efforts to prov…

11. Safe & Supportive Online Learning

At Insightuition, we want every student to feel safe, comfortable and confident during their lessons. We aim to

create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, participating in

discussions and developing their confidence without fear of embarrassment.

Insightuition - Terms & Conditions | Page 2

Respectful behaviour is expected from students, tutors and everyone participating in our learning environment.

Bullying, discriminatory behaviour, harassment or behaviour that seriously disrupts the learning or wellbeing of

others will be addressed appropriately and proportionately.

12. Online Lessons, Privacy & Recording

Insightuition lessons are delivered online and are not routinely recorded by Insightuition.

To protect everyone's privacy and help students feel comfortable participating, we kindly ask students, parents

and guardians not to record, screen-record, photograph or otherwise capture lessons without prior

permission.

Video, audio, screenshots or extracts featuring students or tutors should not be uploaded, published or shared

on social media or other platforms without permission. This is particularly important during group lessons where

other children and young people may be visible or heard.

If content is shared unintentionally, we will normally contact the student and parent or guardian and ask for it to

be removed promptly. Where recording or sharing is deliberate, repeated or seriously affects another student's

or tutor's privacy or wellbeing, Insightuition may take appropriate and proportionate steps to protect those

involved, including requesting removal of the content and, where necessary, reviewing continued participation in

the programme.

Our priority will always be to resolve concerns fairly and respectfully while protecting the safety and privacy

of our learning community.

13. Safeguarding & Student Wellbeing

The safety and wellbeing of our students are central to Insightuition. All Insightuition tutors are DBS checked

and are expected to maintain appropriate professional standards and boundaries when working with children

and young people.

Tutors are selected for their teaching expertise as well as their ability to provide a positive, respectful and

supportive learning environment. Any safeguarding concern will be taken seriously and handled appropriately,

with the student's wellbeing as our priority.

Safeguarding concerns can be raised by contacting info@insightuition.com.

14. Student Conduct

Students are expected to treat tutors and other students with respect. We understand that children and young

people make mistakes, and minor behavioural concerns will normally be approached constructively.

Where behaviour is serious, persistent or significantly affects the safety, wellbeing or learning of others,

Insightuition may contact the parent or guardian and work with them to resolve the situation. In exceptional

circumstances, Insightuition may suspend or discontinue a student's participation where this is reasonably

necessary to protect other students or tutors.

15. Academic Progress & Results

Insightuition is committed to helping students improve their knowledge, confidence, examination technique and

understanding of exam requirements. However, academic outcomes depend on many factors, including

attendance, participation, independent study, examination performance and individual circumstances.

Insightuition - Terms & Conditions | Page 3

For this reason, Insightuition cannot guarantee a particular examination grade or academic result.

16. Changes to Tutors or Timetables

Occasionally, reasonable changes to lesson times, tutors or teaching arrangements may be necessary. Where

possible, Insightuition will provide advance notice and make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption to

students.

17. Educational Materials & Intellectual Property

Teaching materials and original educational resources created by Insightuition are provided to students for their

personal educational use. Unless otherwise stated, these materials must not be sold, publicly distributed,

uploaded or used commercially without permission. This does not prevent students from using their materials

normally for their own study, revision and examination preparation.

18. Privacy & Personal Information

Insightuition respects the privacy of students, parents and guardians. We may collect information necessary to

provide tuition, including contact details, student details, subjects studied, examination boards and educational

requirements.

Information may be used to organise tuition, communicate with families, administer payments, monitor progress

and meet appropriate safeguarding or legal responsibilities. Personal information will not be sold to third parties

and will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data-protection requirements.

Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@insightuition.com.

19. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functionality and, where applicable,

analytics and marketing purposes. Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies, visitors will be

provided with an appropriate opportunity to manage their preferences.

20. Our Commitment to Families

We want families to feel confident choosing Insightuition. Our policies are designed to balance flexibility for

families with the need to reserve tutors' time and limited places within our groups.

Where an unusual situation is not specifically covered by these Terms & Conditions, we will aim to find a fair and

reasonable solution while respecting applicable consumer rights.
